It was a fantastic weekend for Gemini Stud at The Festival of British Eventing Intermediate Championships at Gatcombe Park as The Classic Composer and Lisa Freckingham took 10thplace.
The very tough Mark Phillips cross country course proved to be influential in the final scores. Lisa Freckingham rode the full brother to the Gemini Stud stallion Classic Opera who is called The Classic Composer and finished in 10th place.

Gemini’s Classic Valentine who is full sister to the Gemini Stud graded stallion and HOYS Cuddy Finalist Classic Opera had her first outing under saddle on the 6thof July at the Northern Show. Beautifully ridden by Martha Jobling-Pursar, Gemini’s Classic Valenine who is rising 5 years old this summer behaved impeccably well and won the class by a margin of 6 marks.
Gemini’s Classic Valentine – Full sister to Geminis Classic Opera
Almost identical to her full brother Classic Opera, Gemini’s Classic Valentine has the same wonderful laid back temperament and excellent movement. Gemini’s Classic Valentine’s win is more all the more incredible as Martha is only 14 years old and this was the very first time that Martha had ridden her.

Everyone at The Gemini Stud is delighted for Jean Cartwright as her yearling filly Geminis Classic Dancer by Classic Opera won her 5th class at County Level this season.
By Classic Opera the nearly black filly by Geminis Stallion Classic Opera won the Hacks at Royal Norfolk Show and then went on to take second place in the yearling Sports Horse Class.
The 5 in a row wins is all the more incredible given the fact that Geminis Classic Dancer was not shown as a foal and her first outing in public was as a yearling.
Everyone at The Gemini Stud is delighted for Jean Cartwright as her daughter of the Gemini Stallion Classic Opera won the Yearling Sports Horse Class at Suffolk County Show.
Jean bought Gemini’s Classic Dancer from The Gemini Stud as a foal in 2018 and has produced her for both Hack and Yearling Sports Horse Classes.
The Classic Composer who is FULL brother to the Gemini Stallion Classic Opera was 8th in the CCI3*-S with Lisa Freckingham at Rockingham International Horse Trials.
The pair did a lovely dressage test on the first day and then jumped a cracking double clear to finish 8th on the final day. The Captain Mark Phillips XC Course was very testing with a tight time and some technical combinations that caught out the leading horses.
The Gemini Stud are delighted that their graded stallion Classic Opera is the cover star of the 2019 Competition Stallion Guide. The Stallion Guide has long been considered to be the ultimate breeders bible for the very best stallions in Great Britain.
Supported by the individual disciplines of British Dressage, The British Show Jumping Association, British Eventing the guide is available to order online at www.competition-stallions.com and is available at certain national events.
The 2017 cover star was Team GBR Show Jumping Olympic Gold Medallist Big Star.
The Gemini Stud are now delighted to confirm that their stallion Classic Opera has now received all the necessary licences for export. This means that his semen is available in the USA, Australia, New Zealand, Europe and Ireland.
The full brother to Gemini’s Stallion Classic Opera called The Classic Composer had a great weekend at the 2019 Burnham Market International Horse Trials. Owned by Steve Revell and ridden by Lisa Freckingham, The Classic Composer loved the ground at the Norfolk Horse Trials and stormed round the XC to finish in his first Open Intermediate in 6th place.
The Classic Composer’s Open Intermediate section was a hotly contested one with several CCI5* riders in whom have previously ridden on teams.
Lisa and The Classic Composer now head for Aston Le Walls Open Intermediate and all being well the CIC3*-S at Rockingham International Horse Trials in May.
Classic Opera’s and The Classic Composer’s sire Classic Primitive was a British Eventing Breeding Young Horse Champion and their grandsire is also the sire of Chico Bella P whom was selected to represent Team GBR at the 2016 Rio Olympics.
